We Are the Champions!

We Are the Champions!

The district basketball matches were held in our school on 6th October 2016. The matches were tough and challenging, but as the title of this article suggests, St. Peter’s emerged victorious in all the six categories that we participated in! This was an unforgettable moment in my life. The matches were tough since the teams from the plains (Dindigul, Theni, etc.) were tough opponents. Our coach, Mr.Joseph was very proud of us when we won the matches. The junior team has won the district title after 7 years! And I am proud to have been a part of that team.

After the district matches, we progressed to the next round which was the Divisionals. The divisionals are only for the Under-17 and Under-19 categories. To the great delight of the whole school, the senior boys team (Under-17 category) won the divisionals and have now moved to the State Level for the very first time in the history of the school!! The matches were thrilling and had a nail-biting finish. We were sad that we lost in the other categories (with close margins) but have hope that we will win it in the next year!

These victories brought great joy to our Correspondent sir, Administrator ma’am, our Director Rohan sir, senior co-ordinator of CBSE Sandra ma’am and all the teachers and students! I hope this winning streak continues in the coming years, since WE ARE THE PETERITES – THE MIGHTY MIGHTY PETERITES!

Vases from Waste

On 21st October, we were asked to bring items such as plastic bottles, paint, jute rope, glue, scissors, woollen thread and some decorative items to make vases out of these waste plastic bottles. We helped each other, shared, and had lots of fun! Sandra ma’am invited a special guest to judge the competition, Mrs.Priya Jaykesh, who spoke to us about the importance of this activity and showed us a few sample vases she had done. They were truly wonderful. Though it was a tough competition, Mrs.Priya chose the best vases. She awarded them with the amazing vases with plants in them, that she had made herself.

Thanks to our teachers and lovely friends, we had a great time!

World Peace day

World Peace Day at St.Peter’s

The Bible says, “Depart from evil and do good; Seek peace and pursue it.” (Psalms 34:14)

Peace is the state of tranquillity or quiet, and the freedom from civil disturbance. It is accomplished with love.

When should you maintain peace?

  • In times of trouble
  • During a fight

What we did
We all had lots and lots of fun thanks to our dear teachers! We hung all our doves up on the ceiling, and had a short assembly where we took a lot of photos and Joy ma’am gave a speech about that special day. We came back to school the next day and were delighted to see all our photos on the notice board! It was truly awesome.

Thank you all for your efforts because of which we had a wonderful Peaceful Day!!
